Day 1:
Meet, greet and welcome at Nairobi Airport on arrival then transfer to Rock House Guest House in Nairobi. The accommodation today is on Bed and Breakfast.
Day 2:
Depart Nairobi and drive through the agricultural rich country to and head northeastwards to Samburu National Reserve. Samburu is a semi arid ecosystem which teems with a host of wildlife endemic to the northern part of Kenya chief among them being the reticulated giraffe, the grevy zebra, the Oryx, the Somali ostrich, and the gazelle with the longest neck called the gerenuk, the vulturine guinea fowl among others. Apart from the above species, elephants, buffaloes, gazelles, crocodiles, impalas and dik-diks are seen in plenty as well as the elusive lions, cheetahs and leopard. Upon arrival you proceed direct to the Lodge. Chech in to your rooms then go for lunch. After lunch relax a bit around the lodge before proceeding for an afternoon Gamedrive until 18.00 or 1830hrs. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa lodge inside Samburu Game Reserve.
Day 3:
Early Morning gamedrive (0630 – 0800 am) then return back to the Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast proceed for another gamedrive on your way out of the park and drive to Mountain Rock lodge. This a beautiful country style lodge set in the lower Mount Kenya forests reserve. Arrive at the Lodge in time for lunch after which you take an optional Nature and cultural walk to the nearby kikuyu villages. We visit one Kikuyu homestead to learn more on the way of life of the Kikuyu ethnic group. Return to the Lodge through the forest reserve where the local guide explains to us some of the medicinal plants in that forest. We also have high chances of seeing the rare and shy colobus monkey that lives high up in the canopy of the forest vegetation. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Mountain rock lodge.
Day 4:
Depart after breakfast and drive headed on to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is a world famous bird sanctuary with more than two million flamingoes feeding on Spiraling platensis, a blue-green alga which grows in the lake. There are also lots of other birds such as African Fish Eagle, Goliath Heron, Egyptian goose, White pelican and plenty of game species such as lion, leopard, waterbuck, white rhino, zebra, etc. Arrive at a lodge inside the park in time for lunch after which you proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park to see some of these mammals and bird species. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion hill Game Lodge inside the National park.
Day 5:
Early Morning gamedrive (0630 – 0800 am) then return back to the Lodge for breakfast, after you drive out of the park for a short visit to Nakuru town. You then drive to a lodge on the shores of Lake Naivasha arriving in time for Lunch. After lunch you visit the Hell’s Gate National park. This is one of the few national parks in Kenya where one is allowed to explore it foot since there are no big predators. we do a short walk to explore the gorges to see the magnificent geological formations and hot springs. Return back to Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort for dinner and overnight.
Day 6:
Have breakfast and set off for Maasai Mara. Drive along the edge of the escarpment from where we enjoy good views of the Great Rift Valley with its volcanic mountains and softly rolling hills. We're headed for Maasai Mara national reserve for the ultimate big game safari. Arrive at a lodge in the Mara in time for Lunch. Afternoon game drive in the reserve to see the big five. Dinner and overnight at Maasai Mara Sopa lodge or Sarova Mara Game Camp, Both inside the Maasai Mara Reserve.
Day 7:
Early Morning and afternoon gamedrive in masai mara. Brakfast, lunch, Dinner and overnight at Maasai Mara Sopa lodge or Sarova Mara Game Camp, Both inside the Maasai Mara Reserve.
Day 8:
Before returning back to Nairobi you take an early morning game drive then return back to the Lodge for breakfast. Drive back to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon. The driver will drop you at the airport or at your reserved hotel.
